On behalf of the General Manager and Staff of the Benue State Environmental Sanitation Authority (BENSESA), we extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, the Executive Governor of Benue State, as well as to our esteemed partners, stakeholders, and the general public. Your invaluable support has been instrumental in making 2024 a resounding success, enabling us to foster a cleaner, greener, and healthier Benue State.

In 2024, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia generously provided a takeoff grant, which the General Manager, Mrs. Nashima Jennifer Daniel, and her dedicated team judiciously utilized. This funding facilitated the repair of 21 long-abandoned trucks, the renovation of our office complex, and the procurement of essential working tools, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as diesel and lubricants to enhance our service delivery.

Our fruitful partnerships have further rejuvenated the Authority. We established an IT unit, launched customer care lines that remain actively responsive to public concerns, collaborated with traditional rulers to promote effective sanitation and hygiene, and instituted a taskforce for surveillance. Additionally, we developed strategic plans, created new policies, and invested in human capacity development.

This year, BENSESA deployed refuse collection trucks to various routes in the state capital, ensuring that Makurdi remains pristine. With optimism, we aim to extend these services to other local governments within the state as we continue to secure additional funding.

The achievements we celebrate today would not have been possible without your unwavering support. As we move forward, we remain steadfast in our commitment to maintaining a cleaner, greener, and healthier Benue State. We eagerly anticipate continuing our mission in the coming year.
