Overview

BENSESA is responsible for the collection, transportation, and safe disposal of domestic, commercial, institutional, and industrial waste. This includes the operation of waste collection vehicles and the establishment of waste sorting and recycling facilities to minimize environmental pollution and promote sustainability.

Objectives

  • Promoting Public Health – Reducing the spread of diseases by ensuring proper waste management and sanitation.
  • Preventing Environmental Pollution – Minimizing air, water, and land pollution caused by improper waste disposal.
  • Enhancing Aesthetic Value – Keeping public spaces, streets, and communities clean and visually appealing.
  • Encouraging Waste Recycling and Reuse – Promoting sustainable waste management practices through recycling and waste conversion initiatives.
  • Reducing Flood Risks – Preventing drainage blockages caused by indiscriminate waste dumping.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Environmental Laws – Enforcing waste disposal regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Protecting Ecosystems and Wildlife – Preventing waste-related hazards that harm biodiversity and natural habitats.
  • Improving Waste Collection Efficiency – Implementing effective waste collection and disposal systems for urban and rural areas.
